Peony & Landscape Inspiration

Hi Everyone, this page was made just for Michael, who is working on a landscape upgrade.  If you want help with your particular situation, give us a call at 406-721-8733.  We know the area, the soil types and we know all about plant predators like our wonderful deer.  We like our deer fat but we also love our flowers :).  Sometimes it’s overwhelming – I get it, been there!  Regular plant store employees sometimes know some good things, but oftentimes they’re working at the plant store for practical reasons and are only allowed to tell you what’s on the plant label.  They usually can’t help you with visioning kinda projects or personal shopping trips.  I love personalizing things too – your garden or front yard should be something you love. And you have to use your heart – you want things that look nice in all seasons, and know who matches with whom and who doesn’t :).  It should be a place of peace and joy, exuberant and an expression of what you love.  So if you are interested in help with the visioning or planning side of things, just give us a call. 

 Hi Michael, I put together this gallery to help you visualize different planting/ color combinations with some rock solid deer proof plants.  All of them will look fantastic with the dark green evergreens, mugo pines, spruces and other evergreens, and will all look stunning with your brick wainscotting. Just to draw out the gorgeous and not clash with the terra cotta orange, we have to channel my inner Italian Grandma, Nonna, go Italian colors or go home. 

That wall is actually perfect –  I found some pics that was kind of similar to the wall, so you can really see how awesome it’s going to look with terra cotta orange and the bright Italian colors. These are just ideas to spark creativity for your project — showing real color combinations, bloom density, and planting structure possibilities.   I divided it into peonies and then a second gallery with other deer proof plants that will keep blooming after the peonies are finished, so you get flowers all season, plus fall colors.  Most if not all of the summer plant gallery items are available in town – I can go shopping with you guys if you want for the things we don’t carry here (because shopping for plants is my favorite even though I grow plants).  

Bonus – they’re ALL perennial, so one and done.   Extra Bonus – none of these plants are fussery or difficult. Extra Extra Super Bonus- all of these are pollinator favs so you will have tons of bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
