HOME OF THE SUPER TREE

Evans Tree Farm and Nursery carries an outstanding variety of very hardy trees and perennials that thrive in Montana’s local climate.    Our super hardy trees are container grown right here in Montana, not imported for sale from more temperate climates like the big box stores.   We grow Super Trees, a fast growing, extremely hardy poplar that is great for shade, privacy hedges and windbreaks.   We also grow Quaking Aspen, Colorado Blue Spruce, several types of willow, Red Osier Dogwood, birch and several varieties of pine trees.    

We grow an excellent collection of perennials and peony plants.  We grow classic French varieties like Monsieur Jules Elie and Duchesse de Nemours, with beautiful flower forms and delicate fragrance, modern cultivars such as Coral Charm and Coral Sunset for outstanding form and colors, and perennial favorites such as Eden’s Perfume and Lady Alexandra Duff.  Itoh peony varieties include Cora Louise, Scrumpdidliumptious, Hillary, Callie’s Memory and Scarlet Heaven.   Below is a sneak peek at some of the currently available trees, peonies and other perennials we grow, such as Siberian Iris.  Call us today for availability and a private appointment at the nursery !  

The Super Tree - this is our fastest growing hardy hybrid poplar. Excellent for shade, planted alone or in a grouping for a stately front yard, privacy hedges, windbreaks and shelter belts. Available in 1 to 5 gallon sizes.
Colorado Blue Spruce for the noble Montana landscape. These are some of our nursery babies, growing up strong! Available in 1 to 3 gallon sizes. Larger sizes may be available in commercial grade only.
Maple, your perfect summer shade tree with vibrant fall colors! Available in 5 to 25 gallon sizes.
European White Birch adds a classic touch to your landscape and is extremely hardy. Available in 5 gallon pots.

Pink Hawaiian Coral Peony is glorious !  The perfect shade of coral with deep green foliage to bring tropical delight to your garden.  

Raspberry Sundae peony - gorgeous cascading shades of pink, with dark pink accent petals and lemon guard petals. These flowers are 7 to 8 inches with a divine scent!
Festiva Maxima is a vigorous grower with delightful huge white cloud-like flowers, with just a touch of red center petals.
Sword Dance peony is an anemone variety, dark fuschia pink center petals with gilded edges on 6 to 8 on 6 to 8 inch flowers.
Edulis Superba - a classic variety with gigantic perfect bubblegum pink flowers.
Moonstone peony, is an elegant addition to your garden, with its pure white magnolia type blossoms.
Alerti is our most beautiful bridal blush pink.
Red Charm - the name says it all. This one is a stunner.
Monsieur Jules Elie - a cottage garden classic peony since 1888. A very full pink double flower with silvery sheen to the petal edges.
Honey Gold - a personal favorite - eye catching white with a golden glow and pink flare petals combined with enticing fragrance from extra large flowers.
